Mark Smith Design Inc. is located in Lenox, Massachusetts offering consulting services for buildings, additions, renovations, interiors and furniture. Principal Mark Smith has completed a variety of residential projects, in addition to commercial and institutional work.
Mark has a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from The City College of New York and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. He has over thirty years of experience in design-related work, including many years of applied experience in construction, particularly in the field of cabinet and furniture design and fabrication. He also worked in the art world for several years, building and installing exhibits for museums, galleries and private patrons.
Upon graduating from architecture school, Mark worked for three years at 1100 Architect PC in New York City before moving to the Berkshires in 1992, where he opened his own office doing independent projects and working for local architects. Since 1996, he has been running a design practice, including a partnership which operated from 1999-2001.
